Get to know Andrea.
Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, Dr. Andrea Scott is a higher education administrator with more than 30 years of education and business experience. A former Fulbright Scholar, she most recently served Oregon’s largest private university George Fox University (GFU) as provost and then as Special Advisor to the President and Distinguished Professor of Marketing. Before that, she was dean and professor of marketing in the Dr. Robert K. Jabs School of Business at California Baptist University (CBU) from 2016-2020.
Prior to CBU, she spent 12 years as a marketing faculty member in Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management. Her business background includes national advertising agency experience, working with NBC during the 1996 Olympics, and business analysis with Honeywell, Inc. She also started and still owns The Write Touch (a marketing and creative writing business).
Well versed in cultural discipleship, she leverages her multifaceted leadership training and her passion for people to help others steward their God-given gifts and cultivated talents.
